Pedro is a Master of Social Work student at the University of Toronto and a foreignly trained psychotherapist with a decade of clinical experience. He has experience providing evidence-based therapy to youth and adults, couples and families. He works from a client-centred, emotion-focused and systemic approach, while still integrating and drawing from multiple theoretical orientations and techniques to address the unique needs of each individual. He offers services in English and Spanish.
Education and Training
Pedro focused his education in Somatic Psychotherapy and Systemic Family Dynamics and is focusing his Social Work Degree in Mental Health. Pedro has additional training in Emotion-Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Mindfulness-informed approaches. His practice is informed by his experience working with the 2SLGBTQ+ community, individuals from diverse backgrounds in organizations, and over 4,000 hours of private practice.
Pedro practices from a client-centred, culturally responsive, trauma-informed, anti-oppressive lens. He prioritizes creating a safe space for clients to explore their concerns and collaboratively work towards their goals, as he strongly believes that clients are experts and accountable in their own lives.

Pedro is a first-generation Mexican-Canadian/Latinx/Middle-eastern cis gay man. Pedro's passion for therapy is driven by his lived experiences where he had to navigate his mental health challenges, life lessons, losses. These experiences shape and inform his therapeutic work. Pedro is passionate about helping clients understand themselves better through therapy and feels privileged to be able to join clients in their journeys to self-reflection, self-discovery, and healing.
