Charutama Miryala
Life is a journey, and each person holds the power to navigate it in their own way. I believe in your strength and resilience, even through life's challenges. My goal as a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) is to walk alongside you, helping you uncover your inner wisdom and guiding you toward healing, clarity, and growth. It is a privilege to be part of your journey, creating a safe space where you feel supported in embracing your individuality and working toward meaningful change.
Education and Training
I completed my Master in Counselling Psychotherapy at Yorkville University and have a background in psychology and neuroscience. Additionally, I am a certified trauma-informed yoga teacher, certified in Psychological First Aid.
Theoretical Approach
I believe the therapy should be a safe and empowering space for you to feel deeply understood and supported on your journey towards your goals. My approach to care is rooted in trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, identify-affirming practices, to ensure your emotional safety and honour your unique experiences and values. I strive to foster a collaborative and compassionate environment that encourages self-discovery, growth, and meaningful change.
I'm passionate about helping you develop the tools you need to move forward with greater confidence, clarity, and resilience. If you're ready to embark on a journey of healing and personal growth, I'd be honoured to walk alongside you. Together, we can explore what matters most to you and build a path toward your goals.
Personal Background
As a South Asian woman with ADHD, I have a deep understanding of the experiences and challenges faced by BIPOC, Immigrant and neurodivergent communities, and therefore truly value the importance of practising through an intersectionality-conscious lens. This understanding inspires my commitment to creating a compassionate and inclusive therapeutic space where you can feel seen and valued, as I recognize the complexities of navigating cultural identity, systemic barriers, and intergenerational dynamics.
In our collaborative work together, I want you to feel safe to share your story, explore your experiences, and work toward your goals at a pace that feels right for you. By tailoring the therapeutic process to honour your unique strengths and needs, I strive to support your healing, growth, and emplwerment in a way that feels meaningful and authentic.
